NET Fall 2015!

Encounter1 2015-16It’s that time once again, NET in November! That’s right a year has come and gone and NET Ministries Canada has started up a new year on the road which means another trip to the Diocese of Peterborough! For over more than 20 years NET Teams have been coming to our diocese and evangelizing the young people to reach out and find God. They use a vibrant combination of music, testimony, discussions and traditional presentation styles infused with the Sacraments and Mass to make a difference in peoples lives. This is currently more true than ever before. There are five missionaries from the Diocese of Peterborough currently serving on a NET team somewhere in the world:

Visit netcanada.ca for more information and if you would like to support these missionaries in their year of service.

This year the diocese will see NET Encounter team 1 twice (November and May) giving them the opportunity to minister to over 1000 youth and families. Follow us on Facebook as we introduce the team to you over the next several weeks leading up to their arrival on November 16.

2015 Confirmation Rallies

IMG_0028VEYO is running with NET Ministries and the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board, two Confirmation Rallies to show the Confirmandi what it takes to be a Courageous Witness. Between the two rallies we will see roughly 700 grade seven students who have been preparing for Confirmation this year.

In order to properly accommodate the youth who will be attending the rallies there is a tremendous need for High School and Youth Ministry Volunteers to assist as leaders for the two days. Any volunteer 18 or over will be required to provide a police check with vulnerable sectors check included. If you would like to be a part of this day please follow the link below and complete the form. There will be a mandatory training day for each rally for the volunteers to meet each other and to get prepared for the rally ahead. Only as many volunteers as are needed will be contacted for the rallies.

Rallies: May 20 @ St. Stephen’s CSS, Bowmanville & May 21 @ Holy Cross CSS, Peterborough; 9 am-2 pm
